^{This is one of the many 'special boxing' kits that are so prevalent from Hasegawa and one of the earliest as the base kit was released in 1993. In this case, it is the standard 1/48 Ju-87B kit with the inclusion of a new set of decals. There is basically no difference in this kit and the previous Ju-87B-2 kits.} Hasegawa’s 1/48 scale Stuka shares the fuselage and wheel sprues with the earlier Ju 87B kits, but little else. The lines of the aircraft are well captured and the very prominent glasshouse canopy is impressively clear and thin. The surface of the kit is detailed with crisply engraved panel lines.

Why do the rear guns on the Ju-87 G2 apparently have an upwards-stepped kink? Saw the article on the Hasegawa 1/32 kit in the recent Finescale Modeler, and since the barrels cant really be kinked, I was curious about how those guns are actually set up and structured.

Revell does have some excellent kits which are as good as Hasegawa. One example is their 1/48 F-15E Strike Eagle, which came out in 1999 or 2000. As far as the Stuka goes, if the "Revellogram" is not a newly tooled kit, I'd go with the Hasegawa. Hasegawa typically has better fit, finely recessed panel lines, better detail, etc.
